Federer will face Nieminen in his final match in Helsinki. Billed as "The Final Night", the exhibition between Federer and Nieminen will take place on November 9th at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki.

"One of my long time dreams will come true in November when I get to play the last professional match in my career against Roger Federer, my friend and the all-time best tennis player in the world," Nieminen said in a statement on his web site. "Furthermore, this will happen in my home country in front of the home crowd."

The pair have been good friends since their junior days. Nieminen's farewell will be a Finnish first for Federer, who will visit his friend's home country for the first time.

"I've known Jarkko for a long time. We played at the Junior World Championships in 1998 and we've been friends ever since," Federer said. "I will miss him out on the ATP tour but I'm really excited to play with him in his final match. It's also a great chance to visit Finland for the first time!"

Federer is 15-0 lifetime against the 34-year-old Fin, including this round of 16 victory at the 2014 Brisbane International.
