It’s was just one of many examples of Djokovic’s world-class footspeed, instinct and touch during the match. Bautista Agut started the match with some incredible tennis and he kept it up for most of the match, but Djokovic made the Spaniard work too hard for his points and eventually broke him down.
Djokovic has now won 60 matches on the season, and he’ll continue his quest for his third Grand Slam of the season—and tenth of his career—on Tuesday night in New York when he faces Feliciano Lopez.
