Seven of the eight World Group first-round matchups will take place in Europe next March, but team U.S.A. drew the short straw and will be forced to travel to Australia to face a difficult test next March 4-6.

The 2016 Davis Cup draw, which was held Wednesday evening in Chile, also revealed a few enticing first-round matchups, including Switzerland at Italy, Canada at France and Argentina at Poland.
This year’s Davis Cup finalists, Great Britain and Belgium, were both awarded home ties. The Brits will square off with Japan and Belgium will face Croatia.
