A quick glance at the ATP doubles rankings shows a major milestone for Greece and the Tsitsipas family.

After claiming his first ATP doubles titles alongside his brother Stefanos in Antwerp, Petros Tsitsipas has now officially entered the Top-100. The 23-year-old rises 29 spots to a career-high ranking of 81.

It was a proud moment for the family, as older brother Stefanos has always made time to take Petros under his wing, as he committed himself to their doubles success despite his busy singles schedule.

Now they have their first ATP title to celebrate.

“This is what we dreamed about growing up.” Tsitsipas said in a post on Instagram.

He said these emotional words after the final, according to the Tennis Letter:

“There are certainly a lot of emotions. I must say that I have played a lot of tournaments in my life, I have won a lot of titles, and I have great memories. But this one struck me in a different way, and I can say with great confidence that it is probably one of the most emotional and important moments of my career, even more than the singles titles.

“Being able to win with my brother is unimaginable. We were little kids running around hitting tennis balls and it would never have occurred to us that we would have the opportunity to play ATP 250, 500 or 1000. I would like to thank Petros and everyone who made this possible. We have come a long way and I really hope we can continue to do so. And that we can support each other in our own way and make this journey a dream.”

Afterwards the pair celebrated, with Paula Badosa, the girlfriend of Tsitsipas, taking the selfie honors.
