Round of 16 action commences on Thursday in Guadalajara, with three spots still open for the WTA Finals field in Fort Worth.

On a day that saw Coco Gauff and Caroline Garcia book their spots, we now see seven players in the hunt for the final three spots at the prestigious year-end championships on Texas.

Scroll down for a quick look at those who are still in the hunt...

Tennis Express

Aryna Sabalenka: She’s already out of Guadalajara but still in good shape to make the field.

Daria Kasatkina: She’s just 35 points behind Sabalenka and still alive in the draw. Kasatkina faces Anna Kalinskaya in the Round of 16.

Veronika Kudermetova: The Russian leapfrogged Maria Sakkari with her win over Donna Vekic on Wednesday. If she bows out in the same round as Sakkari, Kudermetova would end up ahead of the Greek by 69 points.

Kudermetova faces Jelena Ostapenko on Thursday.

Maria Sakkari: Faces No.14 seed Danielle Collins in the Round of 16. Sakkari leads the head-to-head 1-0. She would be eliminated with a loss, as would the next three players.

Madison Keys: Keys must reach at least the semifinal for a chance to qualify. The American takes on Victoria Azarenka in the Round of 16 on Thursday.

Danielle Collins: Collins must reach at least the final for a chance to qualify. She faces Maria Sakkari in the Round of 16.

Jelena Ostapenko: The Latvian will need to win the title to potentially qualify, but it isn’t a guarantee.

Five players have already qualified:

  • Iga Swiatek
  • Ons Jabeur
  • Jessica Pegula
  • Coco Gauff
  • Caroline Garcia
