The French Tennis Federation has confirmed that the Rolex Paris Masters will continue as planned in early November. With Coronavirus cases elevated in France the government has elected to cap the spectator attendance at 1,000 per day.
“Spectator numbers will be capped at 1,000 per day, to comply with the current restrictions applicable in Paris, as set out in the decree issued by the Paris Préfet de Police,” the tournament’s official Twitter said.
Coronavirus cases have spiked from under 1,000 in May and June to about 10,000 per day in October.
The tournament is expected to begin on Oct 31, with main draw play set for November 2.
