Naomi Osaka's Shenzhen experience is over.
The two-time Grand Slam champion withdrew from the WTA Finals due to a right shoulder injury.

Osaka pulled out prior to her scheduled Red Group round-robin match vs. Ashleigh Barty.
"I'm disappointed to have to withdraw from the Finals,” Osaka said. "It has been a great event in Shenzhen, and it's the biggest WTA event of the year. This is not how I wanted to end this tournament or my season.
"I look forward to getting healthy and hope to be back here in Shenzhen next year."
Alternate Kiki Bertens replaced Osaka in the field and took on the top-seeded Barty.
"I felt it immediately," Osaka said of her should pain following her 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-4 round-robin win over Petra Kvitova on Sunday to earn her first career win at the WTA Finals Shenzhen. "When I woke up the day afer, it was throbbing and stuff."
Osaka's withdrawal puts Barty in position to qualify for the semifinals if she beats Bertens today, while Bertens would need to win both of her round-robin matches to advance to the final four.
