Johanna Konta has closed the curtain on her 2019 season.
The world No. 11 has withdrawn from next week's Elite Trophy Zhuhai tournament due to the lingering knee injury that has sidelined her since her US Open quarterfinal loss to Elina Svitolina.

The injury issue ends a successful season for Konta, who posted some of her best results on red clay, traditionally her weakest surface.
Konta contested clay-court finals in Rabat and Rome and reached the Roland Garros semifinals.
The 28-year-old Briton also advanced to quarterfinals at Wimbledon and the US Open.
