Second Serve

Every time Grigor Dimitrov takes the court there is the potential for dazzling athleticism and shotmaking fireworks. The Bulgarian did not disappoint in his first match at the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday:

Come to think of it, Joao Sousa didn’t disappoint, either. The former Malaysian Open champion (2013) knocks off a ‘tweener in a wild attempt to stay alive in this rollicking point during the second set but dimitrov is there to make the volley and put away the subsequent smash.

Dimitrov gets shot of the day honors as well as the 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory.
