Five out of Caroline Wozniacki and Angelique Kerber’s last seven meetings have gone to three sets, but none have been as strange as their sixth career meeting in 2013, which produced a moonball (one of many in the match, actually) rally so epic that it instantly went viral.

How do you go viral with moonballs? Ah, that’s something only a tried-and-true tennis quirkster would know.

“I was trying to figure out a way to win,” Wozniacki said after the match. “And it doesn’t really matter how.”

Wozniacki will need to figure out a way to win tonight against Kerber as well, because if she doesn’t she’ll be eliminated from Singapore contention.

The Dane is one of seven players who faces Singapore elimination today, according to the WTA. The other six are Sara Errani, Andrea Petkovic, Timea Bacsinszky, Ana Ivanovic, Madison Keys and Roberta Vinci.
