Before the Swiss Indoors in Basel, you better believe that the ball kids have a meeting where they are told, “Keep your eyes on Roger, because he WILL hit the ball to you when you least expect it.”

Kudos to this young ball kid who made the catch when Roger Federer angled one in his direction during the first set of his quarterfinal with David Goffin on Friday.

Perhaps this young boy is a future 17-time major winner? He certainly does have good hands…

Federer was crisp in his first set against Goffin, taking it 6-3 with a lot of fine net play, but he wasn’t perfect. Check out this shank:
