The six-time Grand Slam champion announced the news on social media on Sunday, saying: “I am very excited to continue my partnership with Holger Rune in 2024. We are building a team around Holger to bring out the best version of himself, on and off the court.”

Rune’s mother and manager Aneke, confirmed the extension of the partnership in Danish media.

“We look forward to continuing the good work in the preseason and 2024 with our team, with whom we will also end the year,” Aneke said, according to Denmark’s TV2 Sport. “I’m delighted that we have found a good setup where Holger is happy and can develop, so that we can once again set goals and aim to win Grand Slams.”

Becker helped Rune turn his season around this fall. The Dane had been struggling with form and injuries since Wimbledon, but with Becker in the coaching box the 20-year-old managed a semifinal at Basel and a quarterfinal at the Paris Masters to earn qualification into the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time.

Rune went 1-2 in Turin, winning over Stefanos Tsitsipas via retirement and losing tough three-setters to Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner. He finishes the season at 44-24 with one title.

After topping out in the ranking at No.4 in August of this year, Rune finishes the campaign at No.8.
