Ryan Sweeting  will marry girlfriend Kaley Cuoco, star of the TV show "The Big Bang Theory" on the only day that makes sense for big bangs - New Year's Eve.

This according to tabloid magazine Us Weekly on Tuesday. The pair became engaged in September after dating for three months.

The 26-year-old Sweeting was ranked as high as 64th in 2011, but is now No. 660 in the world after playing just one ATP singles match in 2013. His lone title came at Houston in 2011.

Cuoco, who plays Penny on the CBS comedy that has been ranked in the top two among TV comedies in the last two years, was a nationally ranked amateur as a child. She has previously dated co-star Johnny Galecki, Superman actor Henry Cavil and was engaged in 2012 to addiction specialist Josh Resnick.

In recent months, Cuoco and Sweeting took their relationship public, appearing together at the US Open in New York and the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
