Watch: Cibulkova Casts Star


It’s the year of the tennis film.

Feature films dramatizing the famed Fire and Ice rivalry between Bjorn Borg vs. John McEnroe and the Battle of the Sexes match pitting a pair of Hall of Famers—Billie Jean King vs. Bobby Rigg—are set to hit the big screen in September. The day after Roland Garros begins, Gentlemen’s Fury, a tennis-themed comedy, will debut.

If there’s ever a film made about Dominika Cibulkova, the 28-year-old Slovak already has a star in mind: Scarlett Johansson.

“I think about some shorter actresses,” Cibulkova told Sport 360 in the rapid-fire video Q & A above conducted in Madrid. “And I like Scarlett Johansson. I don’t know why maybe just because she’s short and she’s sexy.”



Cibulkova’s favorite athlete is adept at going downhill fast.

“I really like Lindsey Vonn,” Cibulkova said. “She’s a great athlete.”
