Second Serve

Benoit Paire is such a stylish player. He’s elegant, he’s gifted, he’s got feathery strokes and an incredible backhand. But jeez, his footwork looks like it needs a little work. Watch as the Frenchman falls bum-over-teakettle while moving into the net to play a volley during his first-round loss to Rafael Nadal on Monday at Roland Garros.

It wasn’t pretty.

But it was nice to see Rafael Nadal come over and lend him a hand.

Nadal won the match in straight sets, dropping just six games. But Paire got to take home more clay as a souvenir, so there’s that.
