Wimbledon may well welcome back three former Grand Slam champions.
Two-time Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova is aiming to return at the grass-court Grand Slam, which starts on July 3rd.
More: Azarenka Will Play Wimbledon
The former world No. 2 was the victim of a horrific stabbing by a home invader in the Czech city of Prostejov last year.
The left-handed Czech underwent surgery to her left hand in December and has been sidelined for the entire 2017 season.
Though she is on the entry list for Roland Garros, Kvitova will make a final decision on her French Open participation later this week.
It's more likely the 2011 and 2014 Wimbledon champion will make her major return at SW19.
Kvitova's spokesperson, Karel Tejkal told the AP she will make a last-minute decision on Roland Garros, while her long-term goal remains to "to be able to play in form at Wimbledon."
The BBC reports Kvitova is "on track" for a Wimbledon return. If it happens, she will join former No. 1 Victoria Azarenka, who announced she will play Wimbledon and 2004 champion Maria Sharapova, who said she will play Wimbledon qualifying.
