Caroline Wozniacki and Belinda Bencic each officially pulled out of next week’s French Open on Tuesday due to injury.
Wozniacki suffered an ankle injury during training the spring, and had earlier pulled out of Madrid and Rome. She was seen in a walking boot in early April. The world No. 34 has been making steady progress since but will opt to skip the second major of the year.
World No. 8 Bencic has been out since Indian Wells after injuring her back. She will be replaced by Lauren Davis in the draw.
