Often, players currently ranked outside the world's elite offer unique insights into the not-so-glamorous side of professional tennis and let their personalities shine through on their social media accounts. WTA No. 138 Alizé Lim is one of these players. The Frenchwoman's social media prowess first came into the spotlight at Roland Garros a year ago, when she responded to Maria Sharapova's tweet about her mixed doubles partner (and boyfriend), Jeremy Chardy with a slight dig at Sharapova’s own tennis-playing boyfriend, Grigor Dimitrov.
The 23-year-old Lim, who will be making her singles main draw debut at Roland Garros this year courtesy of a wild card, *has* become close friends with another WTA top tenner, Serena Williams, ever since Williams came under the tutelage of Patrick Mouratoglou. On Thursday at the Roland Garros players' party, Lim and Williams were certainly on top of their #selfie game.
