Boulter +22 to a Career-High!

Great Britain’s Katie Boulter claimed the San Diego title and powers up 22 spots in the rankings to a career-high No.27. It was Boulter’s first 500-level title and her second overall. She was ranked 151 at Indian Wells last year, but has been on the rise ever since.

Boulter also moved up 29 spots to No.16 in the Race to the WTA Finals.

Yuan Top-50 Debut

China’s Yuan Yue prevailed in an all-Chinese final at Austin and cracks the Top 50 for the first time this week, up 19 spots to a career-high No.49.

Wang Xiyu +12

Though she lost to Yuan in the final at Austin, Wang Xiyu is still heading in the right direction rankingswise. The Chinese rises 12 spots to No.52, just three spots shy of her career-high.

There was no movement inside the WTA’s Top 20 this week, but Marta Kostyuk (+6 to 11) and Emma Navarro (+3 to No.12) did move up in the Race to the WTA Finals standings.
