More: Zhang Edges Yastremska For Lyon Title
Yastremska, who was runner-up to Zhang Shuai in yesterday's Lyon final, has received a wild card into this week's BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
Camila Giorgi's departure from the draw sends former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka into direct entry. The tournament then reassigned the wild card it had allocated to Osaka to Yastremska.
The Odessa-born baseliner has won nine of her last 11 matches.
The 21-year-old Yastremska bid a tearful departure to her parents last week. Yastremska's parents remain in their native Ukraine, which is under a Russian invasion.
Yastremska donated all of her prize money from last week's run to the Lyon final to the Ukrainian Foundation to benefit citizens in her homeland.
