Andy Murray announced his withdrawal from next week’s Miami Open, citing an elbow injury.
Murray has gone 12-3 on the season with a final in Doha and a title in Dubai. He was knocked out of the BNP Paribas Open in straight sets by Vasek Pospisil of Canada last weekend.
Murray went 78-9 last season and finished the year as World No.1 for the first time in his career.
There are also rumors flying that Novak Djokovic may miss Miami with an elbow injury. The defending champion has reportedly flown back to Monte-Carlo to have the injury assessed, per French journalist Carole Bouchard.
Bouchard says that the Serb was playing in pain at Indian Wells, and flew Friday to Monaco to consult his doctor.
