Why We’re All Thrilled to Have Del Potro Back
Juan Martin del Potro
was very upbeat about his straight-sets loss to
Tomas Berdych
on Saturday. Though he fell, the Tower of Tandil felt that he is making good progress and slowly but surely getting his game back to where he wants it to be.

“I think the positive thing is I'm in a good way to improve my game,” Del Potro told reporters after the match. “Tomas and the top 10 players are the high level in the world. Maybe it's too soon against them, but is the only way to go through and to get better.”
Fans have missed Del Potro’s brand of tennis badly, but his personality has been missed nearly as much. Not sure what we’re talking about? Watch the video above and ye shall know. Del Potro loses a point and walks over to try to hand his racquet to a random official on the side of the court. Then he points over there as if to say “you try to deal with this big beast Berdych.”
It’s classic Delpo. He’s a one of a kind player, and a one of a kind personality. And we’re glad to have him back.
