Second-seeded Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo were upset on Sunday at the Miami Open, and we don’t mean they lost the match. They did that—7-6(1), 6-4, to Max Mirnyi and Treat Huey—but we’re talking about this point.

Watch as Melo takes a rifled Dodig forehand to the back of the head. We’ve seen this happen many a time on the doubles court, but the sheer pace of Dodig’s forehand and the reaction of Melo make this episode extra scary.

Thankfully Melo was okay and deemed fit to continue. Dodig, we imagine, is guilt stricken.

Huey and Mirnyi move on to face John Isner and Nicholas Monroe in the quarterfinals.
