The 14-time Grand Slam champion retired handing Bosnia’s Dzumhur a 2-6, 6-4, 3-0 RET victory—the first Top 10 win of his career—and a spot in the Miami Open’s third round.

Dzumhur battled dizziness and a churning stomach, but would not yield.

"I was fighting," Dzumhur said. "I said to myself 'I don't want to retire because I am playing against Rafa.' "
