Maria Sharapova could have her disciplinary hearing on doping charges in June.
That’s according to Russian tennis federation president Shamil Tarpishchev. Per AP, Tarpishchev recently spoke to Russian news agency Tass and said “the hearings could be put off until June” but then added, “not official information but my opinion.”

Tarpishchev also said that he is in regular contact with Sharapova who continues to train after being suspended on March 12.
Sharapova announced earlier this month that she had tested positive for meldonium at the Australian Open in January.
Though Sharapova could be handed a four year ban, she could get a reduced sentence if she can prove that she did not intend to cheat. Sharapova said she took the drug for medical reasons and did not realize it had been banned for 2016.
For the Olympics, Russia must announced its intended team roster no later than June 16.
Tarpishchev also said recently he expects Sharapova to compete in the upcoming Summer Games in Rio.
