Andy Murray made a late decision to join Stan Wawrinka by taking a wild card into next week’s Nature Valley International at Eastbourne. Now he’s set to play the Swiss in the first round.
Grass Season 2018: Federer Reaches Final in Halle
Murray will face Wawrinka for the first time since they met in the Roland Garros semifinals last year. The winner will face current British No.1 Kyle Edmund.
The combined ranking of the pair (417: Murray is 261 and Wawrinka is 156) is much higher than last year, when both were inside the Top 4 in Paris.
The long road to rankings repair will begin for the winner in Eastbourne early next week.
