Second Serve - A Tennis Now Blog

Second Serve

Nicolas Almagro, Feliciano Lopez, Juan Monaco and Fernando Verdasco took a break from tennis and donned some dapper duds for a photo shoot with Esquire Latinoamerica magazine. The men were dressed in the most glamorous of threads, sporting a Great Gatsby-esque style that included three-piece suits, bow ties and ascots - quite a change from their usual tennis gear. And from the looks of the photos, if we didn't know any better, we would almost think these men were professional models, not gritty clay-court grinders.

The shoot took place during the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells earlier this year for a magazine feature titled "The Sport of Glamour." The article profiles each player as they talk tennis, fashion and life in their native countries of Spain (Almagro, Lopez and Verdasco) and Argentina (Monaco).

See the photo gallery from the shoot (and the Spanish interviews) here.
