Del Potro Splits with Coach Davin and Trainer

Rehabbing from his latest wrist surgery, Juan Martin del Potro will aim to reconstruct his support team.

The 2009 U.S. Open champion announced he has split with long-time coach Franco Davin and trainer Martiniano Orazi.

"I wanted to tell you that Franco and Martiniano are no longer part of my team," del Potro wrote in a Facebook post. "I'm really grateful for the years we've worked together and I wish them the very best. I'm also thankful to their families for their warm support that goes beyond tennis."

The 26-year-old Argentine has not yet announced replacements to his team.

Injury-induced inactivity has caused the former world No. 4's ranking to drop to No. 569.
