Tournament organizers confirmed Djokovic will compete at the ATP 500 event in Dubai later in February.
Djokovic is a five-time winner of the Dubai event and has played their 12 times. Event CEO Colm McLoughlin said the tournament was “..delighted to have Novak back in Dubai for the 12th time.”
Djokovic is able to play in Dubai since it does not require vaccination to enter the country. He last competed at the 2021 Davis Cup event where he led Serbia to a semifinal finish.
Joining Djokovic this year are 2021 champion Aslan Karatsev, 2021 semifinalists Andrey Rublev and Denis Shapovalov, former champion Roberto Bautista Agut, and Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime in the field.
