The 19-year-old Australian revealed his most meaningful win was getting his driver's license during the offseason.

"I had a week-and-a-half off and I got my driver's license," de Minaur revealed after reaching the Brisbane quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over compatriot Jordan Thompson. "It was probably one of the biggest wins of my career, actually."

The seventh-seeded Aussie, who joins Denis Shapovalov as one of only two teenagers in the Top 100, will try to sustain his Brisbane roll when he faces either Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or lucky loser Taro Daniel, who replaced the injured Rafael Nadal in the draw, next.
