Second Serve

While waiting for the second match of the day to finish—the bane of a tennis player’s existence—Roger Federer couldn’t help but get excited while watching Maria Sharapova battle with American Lauren Davis on television in the player's lounge. This footage was taken during a crazy, 27-stroke rally during the second-set tiebreaker, eventually won by Sharapova after Davis netted a makeable volley. Here’s a shorter look at the ruckus.

Federer would be forced to wait another hour as Davis took the tiebreaker before falling in three sets. Federer, no stranger to this type of waiting, didn’t seem to mind. He took the court and defeated Grigor Dimitrov in four sets to reach the round of 16.
