Osaka isn't planning a gender reveal party—it's more like gender conceal mission at the moment. Osaka knows the gender of her baby, but her partner, rapper Cordae, doesn't know and apparently wants to be surprised.

"I've been preparing, but he doesn't know the gender yet, only I know," Osaka told People Magazine in a West Hollywood interview this week. "So it's not like I can build out the room or anything."
The 2018 and 2020 US Open champion said she's approaching pregnancy the way she conducted her tennis career: be inspired to improvise.
"So I don't know, [I'm] just kind of winging it," Osaka told People Magazine. "That's kind of the key motto in my life a little."
The 25-year-old Osaka, who has been in a relationship with rapper Cordae since 2019, said she will take a sabbatical from the sport and aims to return at the 2024 Australian Open.
If Osaka has any questions about how life changes for a tennis player parent, she can consult a couple of world-class experts.
Osaka spent some time on court with a couple of Hall of Fame legends, Steffi Graf and husband Andre Agassi, who can speak from experience on the matter.
