Welcome to the Top-10 Danielle Collins! The American, who played her maiden Grand Slam final on Saturday night in Melbourne, losing to Ash Barty 6-1, 7-5, rises 20 spots to join the WTA’s elite for the first time. Collins also becomes the top-ranked American thanks to her breakout Grand Slam performance in Melbourne.

As for Barty, she’s right where she belongs – at the top of the WTA rankings for the 113th week. The Aussie will tie Justine Henin for seventh all-time on the WTA’s weeks at No.1 list in four weeks.

Barty has spent the last 106 weeks at the top of the rankings.

Also rising in the WTA’s Top-10 is Iga Swiatek – the Pole climbs back to a career-high ranking of No.4 thanks to her semifinal at the Australian Open.

Barbora Krejcikova also climbs back to a career-high, rising to No.3, while Garbine Muguruza falls down four spots to No.7.

Osaka Drops outside Top-80

The four-time Slam champion drops her champion's points from the 2022 Australian Open and falls 71 spots to No.85.

Career-High for Raducanu and Pegula

Great Britain’s Emma Raducanu jumps four spots to No.13 in the rankings, while American Jessica Pegula, a quarterfinalist at Melbourne, rises five to 16 – career-highs for both!

Risers in the Top-50: Cornet, Keys and Anisimova

The biggest jumper inside the Top-50 was France’s Alizé Cornet, who rises 24 spots to 37 on the strength of her first Grand Slam quarterfinal. American Madison Keys, a semifinalist at Melbourne, rises 23 spots, from 51 to 28, while 20-year-old Amanda Anisimova jumps from 60 to 41 after reaching the round of 16 (extra points for saving a match point against Naomi Osaka in round three).

Denmark’s Clara Tauson, still 19, also rises five spots to a career-high ranking of 34. She was edged, just barely, by Collins in the third round.

Kanepi Jumps 52 spots

Kaia Kanepi of Estonia, who reached the quarterfinals by taking out No.2 seed Aryna Sabalenka in the round of 16, is the biggest riser inside the Top-100. The 36-year-old is back in the Top-100 with a vengeance, rising 52 spots to No.63.

Danka Kovinic, who defeated Raducanu to reach the third round in Melbourne, jumps 24 spots to 74, while China’s Zheng Qinwen, 19, hits a career-high of 80, rising 28 spots after her maiden Grand Slam win at the Australian Open.

There are now six teenagers – Raducanu, Coco Gauff, Leylah Fernandez, Tauson, Marta Kostyuk and Zheng – inside the WTA’s Top-10.
