Grigor Dimitrov has tested positive for Covid-19 for a second time. The Bulgarian, who contracted Covid in 2020 after taking part in Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour, has withdrawn from next week’s Dallas Open, the tournament announced.
The World No.25 is one of three high profile names to test positive this week. Hopefully Dimitrov’s second experience with the virus will be better than the last.
"The virus was hard on me,” he told Tennis Majors last year. “I stayed home for about a month ... I think it's different for everyone. I was not breathing well. I was tired. I had no taste, no smell. Everything you could possibly think of. So it was no fun.”
Jannik Sinner pulled out of Rotterdam, and Daria Kasatkina pulled out of St. Petersburg.
