Vekic, who reached the final in St. Petersburg, comes in at No.25 in the world, while St. Petersburg semifinalist Sabalenka rises to No.9.
Ash Barty also makes a career-high at No.13, thanks to the drop of Daria Kasatkina, who falls from 12 to 14.
Among the big movers inside the Top 100 were Dayana Yastremska of the Ukraine, who rose from 47 to 34 on the strength of her second career title, which she won at Hua Hin. The 18-year-old is the WTA’s highest-ranked teenager and the only one in the Top 50.
Ajla Tomljanovic, who fell to Yastremska in the Hua Hin final, jumps from 49 to a career-high at 41 in the world.
St. Petersburg semifinalist Vera Zvonareva rises 21 spots to 76 in the world, while Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova also claims a new career-high at 65.
American Jessica Pegula also reached a career-high. She makes her Top 100 debut at 93
Naomi Osaka tops the Porsche Race to Shenzhen, with surprises coming from Danielle Collins (4) and Bianca Andreescu (10).
