The Foundation said it aims to "help many families and people in vulnerable situations meet such a basic need as food."
Nadal was recently appointed as honorary ambassador of the Food Bank of Mallorca.
In a holiday video message he taped at the Rafa Nadal Academy, Nadal sent his condolences to families who lost loved ones because of the Coronavirus pandemic, said he's eager to put 2020 in the past and is looking forward to better days for the world in 2021 as COVID vaccines are introduced.
"I want to send a lot of encouragement and my condolences to all of the people who have lost a loved one and in the way that they have lost them," Nadal said. " Let's hope that things will get better little by little."
