Madison Keys is back in the Top 10 after her inspiring run to the Cincinnati title on Sunday, and she’s not the only American that cracked a big milestone.

Keys, a former World No.7 (2016), rises into the Top 10 for the first time since last June and will head into the U.S. Open as one of the top contenders for the title.

American Sofia Kenin also makes a splash in this week’s rankings. After recording wins over the WTA’s reigning No.1 in back-to-back weeks in Toronto and Cincinnati, Kenin pushes up to a career-high No.20.

Another young player making a splash is Poland’s Iga Swiatek. Swiatek is the fourth highest-ranked teenager on the WTA Tour right now and the second youngest player in the Top 100.

She qualified for Toronto and Cincinnati and of course reached the second week of Roland Garros this spring. The Pole has a 32-16 record at all levels and a 13-10 record at WTA-level in 2019. She had never won a match prior to this season and finished 2018 ranked at 175.

Other risers this week were Elina Svitolina, who climbs from seven back to five, Venus Williams, who rises from 65 to 52, and Maria Sharapova who inches back to 87 from 97.
