When it comes to match points, we may have one of the most remarkable ones you’ll ever see. Gael Monfils closed his 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory over Marius Copil with a 360 smash and a back flop to finish on Thursday night in New York.

Nick Kyrgios gave the shot pretty high marks—we can probably expect something like this from the Aussie in his third-round match with Andrey Rublev. “Hahahahaha this is the best shottttttttttttttt ever, my bro,” Kyrgios replied to Monfils’ Instagram post.

Monfils has been in pretty good form in New York and has not dropped a set through two rounds. He’ll face Denis Shapovalov in the second round in a first-time meeting between imaginative and explosive shotmakers. It should be a good one.
