Holger Rune and Patrick Mouratoglou have ended their temporary agreement, which called for Mouratoglou to be a part of Rune’s traveling team. Originally intended to be a three-month experiment, the partnership lasted for six months and reaped extraordinary results for the rising Dane.

Rune won his maiden Masters 1000 title in Paris, defeating five Top-10 players en route to the title, and made his Top 10 debut.

The 19-year-old announced the news on social media on Monday.

“I had the opportunity to borrow Patrick for a limited period and we have had six educational and fun months together,” Rune wrote. “Now it’s time to move on and use the learning on my own. Thank you Patrick for some great months together.”

Rune will continue to train at the Mouratoglou Academy.

“Holger! We've successfully completed our mission and ended up having an incredible 6-month adventure, exceeding our original plan of 3 months,” Mouratoglou wrote. “I have no doubt that your is bright. I remain your biggest fan and I keep an eye on you with the @MouratoglouAcad team.”

World No.8 Rune is coached by Lars Christenson and his mother, Aneke. He will turn 20 on April 29. He is 14-7 on the season and 15th in the ATP’s Race to Turin.
