The Memphis Open is relocating to New York's Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Hempstead, Long Island starting next year, the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Tom Schad reports.

The move ends the tournament's illustrious 41-year-run in Memphis.
Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick and Kei Nishikori are among the past champions of the Memphis Open, which traditionally awarded the men's champion a guitar in recent years.
American Ryan Harrison captured his first career ATP title in the Memphis final in February.
The Memphis Open's inability to secure a title sponsor prompted tournament owner, New York-based GF Sports, to move the tournament to the newly-renovated Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
The Coliseum celebrated its official re-opening on Wednesday night when Long Island native Billy Joel performed a concert.
Long Island formerly hosted the Hamlet Cup, a popular 250-level US Open tune-up tournament.
