Eugenie Bouchard’s losing streak stretched to six matches on Tuesday at the Istanbul Cup. The Canadian was defeated 6-0, 6-4 by the always dangerous Jana Cepelova. Bouchard, who has not won since the second round of the Australian Open at the WTA-level, only won nine return points against the World No. 97.

Bouchard faced 12 break points on the day and saved seven, but in the end she was no match for Cepelova.

The 22-year-old former Wimbledon runner-up started the season strong with a semifinal at Sydney and a third-round appearance at the Australian Open, but she has been unable to win since.

The season is starting to look eerily reminiscent of her 2015 season, when she started the year 6-2 with an Australian Open quarterfinal but went 3-13 in her next 16 matches.

Since reaching the final at Wimbledon in 2014, Bouchard has gone 55-58. She has reached three finals, losing in all of them.

Cepelova will face Sara Sorribes Tormo in the second round. See the full draw here.
