Marin Cilic's eight-year streak of Monte Carlo appearances ends this month.
The 2014 US Open champion has withdrawn from the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters due to a knee injury.

Cilic, who announced his withdrawal in this tweet, said he hopes to return for the Madrid Masters, which starts on May 1st.
A year ago, Cilic defeated Florian Mayer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga before losing to Novak Djokovic in the Monte Carlo quarterfinals.
