"Pliskova has the game to hit (Kerber) off the court," says Lindsay Davenport.
"Sometimes the media makes the pressure out to be an excuse for the loss," Davenport said.
"Once (Kerber) beat Serena, everybody thought, Oh, we have a chance," says Hall of Famer.
World No. 1 says while Monfils' judgement was "unacceptable" he is an asset to tennis.
