Siniakova and Townsend Win Third Major Doubles Title at Roland Garros
Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend continue to dominate the tour. The top-seeed doubles tandem won their third major title as a team – and first in Paris – inside Court Philippe-Chatrier on Sunday, taking out No.2 seeds Anna Kalinina and Aleksandra Krunic, 6-2, 7-5.

Townsend gets her third major doubles title and will have a shot at capturing the Career Grand Slam in New York City later this summer. Siniakova wins her 11th major doubles title overall.
“It’s my first Roland Garros title, which means a lot,” Towsend said in her champion’s press conferenc. “I got close in 2023. We made the final and lost in three sets, which was tough. But, I mean, I’m a completely different person now than I was then. Now I think that having two Grand Slams under my belt, I felt a lot more prepared and just ready for the moment and excited. The mindset was totally different.”
The pair have also won majors at 2024 Wimbledon (d. Dabrowski/Routliffe in final) and 2025 Australian Open (d. Hsieh/Ostapenko in final) since teaming up for the first time in the spring of 2024. They are 3-1 overall in major finals.
Siniakova said that the team’s chemistry both on and off the court is what makes them so lethal.
“I think sometimes it’s really helpful that you also click off the court, because you can stay relaxed more,” said Siniakova.
“Definitely what I think is really strong part of our team that we are lefty and righty. I mean, it’s really tricky. The game of me and Taylor is totally different. I think for the opponents it’s also really tricky, because we can change it, and we can play almost anything we want. We can just do it during the game.”
As a team Siniakova and Townsend are 25-2 in 2026.
