Jasmine Paolini won’t be going deep in Cincinnati this month.
The 2025 Cincinnati finalist Paolini has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open as she continues recovery from a foot injury.

The 15th-ranked Paolini, who has not played since her Wimbledon quarterfinal defeat to Marta Kostyuk last month, announced her Cincinnati withdrawal in an Instagram Stories post today.

The 2024 Wimbledon finalist is hoping to play this month’s US Open. If she does, it means Paolini will play the Flushing Meadows major without a hard-court tune-up tournament.
Tennis ExpressA year ago, Paolini beat Maria Sakkari, Ashlyn Krueger, Barbora Krejcikova, Coco Gauff, and Veronika Kudermetova to reach the Cincinnati final where she lost to Iga Swiatek 7-5, 6-4.
Paolini went on to reach the 2025 US Open third round, losing to former Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova.
