Wozniacki on Post-Playing Career

Building a big family and a starring role—as someone else—are among Caroline Wozniacki's planned pursuits when her playing days are done.

The Australian Open champion and fiancé and former NBA star David Lee sat down with Vogue Magazine's Louisa Thomas for a joint interview in Manhattan. Read the Vogue article "A Night Out With Caroline Wozniacki and David Lee, Sports’ Most Romantic Couple" here.

Wozniacki tells Vogue she hopes to have a big family and pursue acting and fashion after she closes the curtain on her tennis career.

"I would love to have a big family and probably step away from a little from the spotlight," Wozniacki said. ”Acting could be so fun. Push my limits a little bit.”

Lee, who formerly played with the New York Knicks and was a member of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors, reveals after buying an 8.8 carat engagement ring for Wozniacki, he asked her father and coach, Piotr, for his blessing before proposing to the Danish superstar.

Lee popped the question as the couple watched the sunset during a romantic vacation to the South Pacific.

"It was good execution," Lee said. "Even if we had just had had a normal dinner—it would have been one of the most beautiful things we’d ever done."

The 28-year-old Wozniacki and Lee split time between homes in Manhattan, Miami and Monte Carlo.

The world No. 3 opens up about the challenges of playing the pro circuit while coping with rheumatoid arthritis.

"For me it was important to know that I can handle this, I can still be a great athlete," Wozniacki told Vogue. "You think you’re the healthiest and the strongest, and you don’t think something like this can hit you. It doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t matter whether you’re young, old, healthy, or not."
