Venus Williams and longtime coach David Witt have parted ways. Witt coached Williams for over a decade.

Ravi Ubha, tennis journalist, broke the news on Monday.

We’re still waiting for an official announcement from the Williams camp, regarding potential coaches for the 38-year-old seven-time major singles champion. Williams reached two Grand Slam finals in 2017, but slipped in 2018 and finishes the season ranked at 38 in the world. It was Williams lowest finish since 2013, when she finished 49.

Williams sees a run of four consecutive Top 20 year-end finishes end after a season that saw her go 17-11 with zero titles.

In other news Williams was in Miami over the weekend, celebrating a dramatic victory by the Miami Dolphins, a team that she holds a limited ownership stake in.
