45-Year-Old Venus Williams Takes US Open Main Draw Wild Card
The 45-year-old will make her 22nd appearance at the Open.
Venus Williams, two-time US Open champion, will return to Flushing Meadows to make her 22nd appearance.
The American legend was handed a wild card by the tournament, which also announced the names of all eight women’s singles main draw wild cards, as well as women’s singles qualifying wild cards.
Per the USTA:
Fellow Americans Clervie Ngounoue, Julieta Pareja, Caty McNally, Valerie Glozman and Alyssa Ahn will receive singles main draw wild cards into the 2025 US Open, as well as France’s Caroline Garcia and Australian Talia Gibson, as part of reciprocal agreements.
