Svitolina, Wozniacki Withdraw From Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Open lost a pair of Top 10 players today. Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki and world No. 4 Elina Svitolina conceded walkovers. Wozniacki withdrew with an elbow injury sending 155th-ranked Lizette Cabrera into a quarterfinal meeting with seventh-seeded compatriot Daria Gavrilova. "I did everything I could possibly to get ready for today but unfortunately I hurt my elbow during practice and there was no way I could perform my best… unfortunately I have to withdraw from the tournament," Wozniacki said.
