Sloane Stephens Parts Ways with Sven Groeneveld
<![CDATA[The American will head to the U.S. Open without her recent hire.]]>
Sloane Stephens’ partnership with coach Sven Groeneveld has proven to be short-lived. Stephens, who hired the former coach of Maria Sharapova, Monica Seles, Ana Ivanovic and others in May, announced the news on Twitter on Monday morning.
After much thought, @sventennis & I have decided to go our separate ways. Change is never easy, but I’m so appreciative of our time together. Onward!

The 26-year-old Stephens owns a 21-15 record on the season. She most recently reached the last eight at Roland Garros and the semi-finals at Madrid, but has lost four of her last five matches. ]]>
